The Hastings Nebraska Mural Project is a community-based public art project which offered residents of Hastings direct hands-on experience in the research, design and execution of a large mural. The project was sponsored by the Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA), the Nebraska Arts Council, the Hastings Community Arts Council, the Community Redevelopment Authority and the Kitty M. Perkins Foundation. The project was guided by nationally recognized muralist Dave Loewenstein.
This presentation was supported in part by an award from Mid-America Arts Alliance, National Endowment for the Arts, the Nebraska Arts Council, and foundations, corporation and individuals throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas.
